Decode Your Prompts And Control Your Costs
Today I’d like to introduce two AI tools that I think can be pretty helpful especially if you’re working with LLMs.
One of them can helps you to understand how your prompts are actually parsed (which is huge when you’re trying to debug weird model behavior), and the other is for projecting costs and profits if you’re using LLMs in production.
Prompt Optimizer — See What Your Prompt Really Looks Like
So the first one is called Prompt Optimizer. It basically shows you how your prompt is parsed internally by the model — including roles (system, user, assistant), tokens, and message formatting. This is especially helpful if:
- You’re writing complex prompts (multi-turn chat, tool calls, agents, etc.)
- You want to reduce token usage (aka save money)
- You’re just curious why the model is acting weird sometimes
The UI is super clean and to the point — paste your prompt, and boom, you see how it’s structured. It’s using OpenAI’s chat format under the hood.
